Charles Martien graduated with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He attended the University of Colorado School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 1996. He graduated in the top 15% of his class and was class president for all three years of law school. Mr. Martien was a member of the winning team in the Rothgerber Moot Court competition at the CU School of Law, was awarded the Sears Award for his classroom contributions, and was on the Dean’s List for two semesters.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Martien founded and operated Impressions Unlimited, a printing business in Boulder. He operated that business successfully for fifteen years prior to law school, giving him invaluable real-world business experience.
